2016 Nobel Peace Prize Awarded to Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos
The Gibran Chair is delighted to learn that the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the President of Colombia, Juan Manual Santos, for his determination to work hard and negotiate hard to reach a Peace agreement with the FARC. His determination indicates that when someone believes that Peace is reachable and attainable and when someone does not give up on Peace, steps to advance Peace can be taken.
