Innovative Strategies for Women's Empowerment:
Highlighting Two Years of Work in Women’s Empowerment Projects in Jordan, Morocco, and Kuwait

Dead Sea, Jordan - Women as Partners in Progress (WPP), is hosting a Conference in Jordan to showcase the two years of work on increasing women leaders’ knowledge of gender roles and women’s rights in order to identify and advance up to two key issues that affect women’s daily lives. The Conference will feature three partner organizations from Jordan, Morocco, and Kuwait that are working to amplify the voices of women leaders.

The WPP Conference will hold panels from each partner organization, highlighting their accomplishments and the results of contributing to the empowerment of women in their countries. Over 120 women and men leaders will be attending, supporting the work of these organizations and learning the power of collective awareness and action.

This Conference is under the auspices of Prime Minister of Jordan, His Excellency Dr. Omar Razzaz. Keynote remarks will be offered by Jordan’s Minister for Media Affairs, Her Excellency Jumana Ghunaimat, and the University of Maryland's BSOS Dean Gregory Ball. Dr. Rita Stephan, Program Director of MEPI at the State Department, will also speak at the opening session. The event will also feature plays and discussions, offering unique opportunities to engage in innovative cultural forms.
