He recently led the "Walk of Hope" in India (2015-2016) from Kanyakumari to Srinagar where multitudes joined him as he traversed 7500 km by walking for 15 months covering 11 states, reaching out to 10 million people, from various religions, communities, and institutions, spreading the message of peace, harmony, unity, and humanity. Many national and international dignitaries joined in this "Walk of Hope". Similar walks for "Humanity and Unity" have been led by him in Europe (Berlin and The Hague in March 2017).
Sri M’s message seeks to transcend the outer-shell of all religions, by exploring their mystical core to nurture the innate goodness in every human being. His writings include his best-selling auto biography "Apprenticed to a Himalayan Master" and its sequel, The Journey Continues. "Wisdom of the Rishis", "The Upanishads", "The Little Guide to Greater Glory and a Happier Life", and "Jewel in the Lotus: Deeper Aspects of Hinduism". Worth noting is Sri M was presented with the first Interfaith Harmony Award at the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Temple of Understanding in India in 2016.
The Gibran Chair looks forward to welcoming Sri M and commemorating the faithful work he has done in the name of Peace, harmony, and unity for India and humanity at large.
