On July 18, 2017, Gibran Chair Director May Rihani was interviewed by Samir Haddad, host of Arabian Candles a weekly hour-long radio program with "fresh topics and interesting guests" in both Arabic and English. On the radio program, Haddad highlights Ms. Rihani's 35 years of work in the field of international development, and Ms. Rihani talks Peace, the life of Kahlil Gibran, and the impact his poetry has had on the East and West alike.

She also touches on the role of Arab women in peacebuilding as discussed in the Chair's Symposium titled, "The Contributions of Arab Women toward a Lasting Peace", the Gibran Chair's Inaugural Lecture, as well as a few other Gibran Chair events. The interview was held in Arabic.

Arabian Candles airs on CinaRadio 102.3 FM in Dearborn, MI on Tuesdays at 1 pm EST.
