On April 23, 2019, the Kahlil Gibran Chair for Values and Peace will hold a symposium and exhibit on the approaches to women’s empowerment in general and, in particular, on an innovative way of ensuring that the process of women’s empowerment is taking place. Four specialists will present on the imperative of empowering women if nations are to advance, an analysis of women’s empowerment and Islam, an innovative way of designing the Women as Partners in Progress (WPP) project, and information about the WPP’s implementation in Jordan, Morocco, and Kuwait.
